Tang Jiawei

Tang Jiawei is ANS’s Planner, Design Director and Senior Architect. After graduating from Tongji University as a Bachelor in Architecture, he worked in the Huadong Electrical Design Institute in Shanghai from 1991 to 1997, from which he gained diverse experience by being involved in a range of project types including Urban Planning, large scale residential developments, and public buildings.
In 1998, he furthered his studies in Switzerland attending Switzerland Geneva University enrolling in the modern architecture program. He became a member of ANS in 1999 in charge of Architectural projects in China. He has been the principal architect in many of planning projects, such as Dongjiadu Residential Block in Shanghai, Shanghai Old Residential Refurbishment, Shanghai Jiujiu Plaza, Shanghai Xiangshanlishe residential area, Huaian Ferry Uptown Development Design and the Shanghai New Villas, Tianjin Sun Co Suncity, Rongqiao Foreshore Residence V、VI of Fuzhou, as well as Changcheng Garden of Changzhou.
Tang Jiawei shows great interest in residential design and has accumulated abundant experience in practice. His idea is to design according to the site situation, paying attention to unique features such as surrounding condition, market opportunity, context and scene, so as to attain the most appropriate solution for each project.
Within the ANS team, Tang is also an excellent coordinator, a good communicator of work between in-house architects and international partner architects, thus resulting in numerous successfully executed projects.
